    Last September 26, 2009, tropical storm  Ondoy devastated the entire Municipality of  Cainta due to flash flood brought about by heavy rains and sudden release of water by Southern and Central Luzon’s main dams .  Almost everyone in our town has been affected by sudden increase in flood water which destroyed properties, personal items, and appliances. One of the organization affected by this calamity is the Samahang Nazareno, Inc., an organization whose main purpose is to retain the culture of SENAKULO in Cainta.

     For almost 50 years, we are performing a 7-day Senakulo Presentation in Cainta, Rizal as tradition inherited from our ancestors. But due to the sad event, most of our technical equipments, props, stage materials and costumes have  been destroyed by flood.  Note that, we will be needing a big some of money to replaced or recover the said lost and destroyed items. The schedule in the proceeding page will show the extent the effect to the said tropical storm

    Yearly, we are performing free of charge to people of Cainta and adjourning town and cities, with the support from different sectors to continue its existence.  But next year’s Senakulo Play Cash Collection will not be enough to cover the total expenditures we will be needing to defray such a huge lost.
